The Red, White, and Gentilly Bleu: Adding our Rhythm to the American Story

The Red, White, and Gentilly Bleu: Adding our Rhythm to the American Story

Embracing the Louisiana Story

In Louisiana, our stories are not told...they are lived.

They move through generations of tradition, rooted in centuries of heritage, and reflected through communities. These stories have shaped leaders, thinkers, and creators whose impact extends far beyond state lines.

As a cultural storytelling brand, Gentilly Bleu exist to preserve our past, celebrate our influence, and redefine what it means to tell the American story in our own rhythm.

Honoring the Legacy of Louisiana's HBCUs

Our work uplifts the history, traditions, and everyday beauty of Louisiana's HBCUs - Dillard University, Grambling State University, Southern University, and Xavier University of Louisiana. The "Red, White, and Gentilly Bleu" theme is intentional by connecting the  Black Louisiana history to the broader American story to emphasize that our culture is foundational and not separate.

Centering Our American Narrative

By blending patriotism with Louisiana rhythm, we reclaim the space in the American narrative to share our stories.

At Gentilly Bleu, we envision this digital space as a cultural home where our stories are preserved, shared, and expanded.

We look to partner with local creators, collaborate with our institutions, and continue building space where every person connected to our stories can see themselves reflected.

America's cultural identity cannot be told without Louisiana, and Louisiana's story cannot be told without her HBCUs. Whether you’re an alum, a student, a supporter of Louisiana culture, or someone who simply loves good storytelling, Gentilly Bleu is your home.

This is where our stories live.
